“I honestly thought it was a bunch of bunk, but here I am, a month later

“I have been seeing Dr. Todd for about a month now. He suggested I try neck decompression as I had a serious car accident about 12 years ago and was struggling with reduced mobility.

I honestly thought it was a bunch of bunk, but here I am, a month later, able to turn my neck. I could not do that before at all without turning my entire body.

I am very pleased and recommend Community Chiropractic to anyone who is struggling with pain or arthritis. Dr. Todd and his staff are amazing!”

When It’s Time to Consider Spinal Decompression

Whether your symptoms are a few months old, or well-advanced and you’re considering surgery, spinal decompression could be a solution for you. Here are some signs you should book an examination with us:

  • Low back pain or sciatica symptoms have persisted for longer than 2-3 weeks
  • You are consistantly taking over-the-counter medication to relieve the pain you experience
  • You have started to consider surgery or spinal injections
  • You have been diagnosed with bulging or herniated discs

Spinal decompression is designed to be an alternative to spinal surgery and injections. Unlike surgical interventions, spinal decompression therapy is a non-invasive treatment that works in harmony with your bodies natural healing processes.

Here’s How Spinal Decompression Works:

Spinal decompression is a state-of-the-art therapy that can effectively and safely treat herniated, bulged, or degenerated disc issues, low back pain, sciatica, and more.

Patients are positioned comfortably on the table and are harnessed into the machine. Once harnessed into the machine, a traction is applied to create space between your vertebrae. The traction:

  • Creates space between your vertebrae to promote the retraction of disc issues and relieves pressure on the nerves to promote healing
  • Can be applied to the neck or the lower back, depending on your area of concern
  • Strength is set dependent on your age, weight, height, and condition.

I came in with a very bad low back pain and my periformis muscle was so tense that i had so much pain in my middle left glute. My left side was slouched over lower than my right and the pain was excruciating like 10 on the scale of 10. After Dr.Todd Small did the 2 manual adjustment and 8 visits with the decompression table i feel so much better(75%). My pain is less now 4 on the scale of 10. I walk straighter. Now i will continue with the treatment til i feel 100% better. I really love every one here. From the receptionists, the decompression table helper to Dr.Todd. Everyone is so compassionate, helpful, and nice. They got me for life as a client here and i would recomend this place to any one. It really works. ❤🌹👍

3 major car accidents. 27 years ago head on collision damaged cv3,4,5 in my neck. Wouldn't let anyone touch it for 27 years, began to trust Dr. Todd and the decompression machine. I was basically calling in the Hail Mary shot because my MRI has suggested surgery. Not to call a shutout before games over but seriously felling better and mobility is way better. I think because of how the doctor has set up my rehab it has been much better. Not trying to fix decades of calcium build up and arthritis all in a hurry is the difference. I get recovery time during this rehab and thats why it feels very personalized.

I had never been to a chiropractor before and honestly believed my regular aches and pains were just a normal part of aging. From the moment I walked in, I received fantastic service from both the front desk staff and the doctor himself. The doctor is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me. I noticed a difference after the very first visit, and the improvement has only continued with each appointment. Highly recommend!
Dr, Todd is the best!

I started working with Dr. Todd when I hurt my lower back really bad at the gym. I was so worried I would have to take a lot of time off which really upset me because it is such a passion of mine.
Within two weeks of seeing Dr. Todd I was already feeling significantly better and was back in the gym. Now, 5 weeks later I feel good as new and back to my normal gym routine.
I would 100% recommend Dr. Todd for all of your chiropractic needs.

So pleased I found this place! Went in with horrible sciatica issue caused by an incident and in less than a month able to walk without any pain and continue all activities. Now on maintenance with check-ins. A sore neck and shoulders from an accident and ramped up for a week and feel 100% better and now back to maintenance. I feel they don’t try to gouge you and listen to you.

Frequently Asked Questions About Spinal Decompression

Find answers to the most common questions our patients ask about spinal decompression.

Spinal decompression is a procedure commonly used in Windsor to address back pain and facilitate the healing of herniated, bulging, or degenerated discs. This treatment involves the use of a specialized table or device that gently stretches the spine. The patient is positioned comfortably on the table, and the device is programmed to apply controlled stretching to the spinal column.  The primary objective of this therapy is to enhance the body’s natural healing processes by improving the flow of nutrients and oxygen to the affected area. As a result, patients experience pain relief, improved disc healing, and enhanced mobility.
Yes – spinal decompression therapy at Community Chiropractic Center is an effective treatment for sciatica. This method aims to alleviate the pressure on the sciatic nerve, which is responsible for the pain, numbness, and discomfort that radiates from the lower back to the legs. Through gentle stretching of the spine, spinal decompression can help minimize the irritation of the sciatic nerve, providing relief from the severe symptoms commonly associated with sciatica.
Our spinal decompression table in Windsor is renowned for its ability to deliver superior spinal decompression outcomes. With its advanced computerized system, it tailors decompression treatments to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring more precise and effective relief for spinal conditions. This targeted approach provided by the technology surpasses the generalized decompression offered by inversion tables, making it a valuable asset for those in Windsor seeking spinal decompression therapy.

Spinal decompression can be a great alternative to surgery. While it is not guaranteed to keep you out of surgery, it is a great avenue to explore before you entertain more invasive procedures.

No, while there is a targeted pressure applied to your spine, it is not painful. Many patients are able to rest or even sleep while receiving treatment.
After a detailed examination, our chiropractic team will present a care plan specific to your needs. Depending on the severity of your case, most patients are recommended between 8-24 visits.
